Simon Lever LLP Announces Merger with Sales and Use Tax Specialist James R. Stauffer
LANCASTER, PA – Simon Lever LLP and tax specialist James R. Stauffer announced Tuesday they would be joining forces to become one of the region’s preeminent authorities in sales and use tax.
Simon Lever LLP is already a leading force in business and financial advisory services with clients from a variety of professional backgrounds, while James R. Stauffer’s company brings more than 30 years of experience helping construction contractors, manufacturers and processors, project owners and others minimize their sales and use tax costs. Their union now makes Simon Lever one of Central Pennsylvania’s leading business tax advisory firms.
Simon Lever LLP managing partner Marlin Benedict said the company’s clients have the most to gain from the new alliance.
“Jim has proven himself to be innovative, creative and experienced in all areas of sales and use tax strategy,” Benedict said. “The merger of our companies enhances Simon Lever’s capabilities and provides tremendous value and opportunity for our existing and prospective clients.”
Stauffer echoed Benedict’s comments.
“This merger offers Simon Lever’s clients a full suite of the most robust and comprehensive business and tax services around,” Stauffer said. “I’m looking forward to being a part of the Simon Lever team.”
Darren Finn, Simon Lever’s tax practice leader, will be working closely with Stauffer in the coming months and said the union of the organizations will have broad implications for the future.
“This merger creates a tremendous synergy, which will allow us to more effectively serve the clients and prospects of both organizations,” Finn said. “This is incredibly exciting.”
