We are pleased to announce that Sara Bruton, partner at Simon Lever, has been selected as a 2021 CPBJ Women of Influence award winner.

Women of Influence honors high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. These women are selected based on their professional experience, community involvement, leadership, and sustained commitment to mentoring. The honorees were selected by Central Penn Business Journal editors.

“This year’s Women of Influence are extremely accomplished. They make a difference and inspire change throughout Central Pennsylvania,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of Central Penn Business Journal. “They are active members of their communities and also mentor the next generation of women leaders. Central Penn Business Journal is pleased to honor them.”

Sara Bruton started at Simon Lever as a staff accountant and rose through the ranks to partner. In addition to serving clients, she was instrumental in starting Simon Lever’s first summer internship and externship programs and served as mentor to incoming young professionals. “I have always been drawn to the success of the individual,” says Bruton. “I realize the vast importance of investing in our people, discovering their strengths, and aligning those strengths with company needs, as their success directly correlates to the success of the clients we serve and the firm itself.” Bruton now serves as Simon Lever’s operational team chair, providing clarity and support to the firm in coordination with other operational leaders.

Sara exemplifies Simon Lever’s core purpose of maximizing the success of our clients, our people, and our community. She is a leader in driving the firm forward and has elevated the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization over the past 18 months, a key aspect of which has been leading our COVID response. “She has driven clarity and communication amongst our leadership team and has done a great job in elevating our leadership team’s effectiveness,” says Jason McDougall, managing partner. “Her influence on our firm permeates throughout every aspect, and our success is in large part due to her leadership.”
