How We’re Working During COVID-19
March 17, 2020 |
Clients and Friends:
The global spread of COVID-19 continues to have a significant impact on our businesses and communities. We at Simon Lever remain committed to maximizing your success and will continue to support you and your businesses as you navigate these uncertain times. In response to the growing spread of the virus, we are taking certain steps to protect the health and safety of our people and their families as well as our clients and community.
In our desire to heed the recommendations of our government agencies and following yesterday’s announcement from Governor Wolf, we are closing all of our office locations beginning at midnight on March 17th. Our people are equipped and prepared to work remotely to continue to meet your needs through this time. We strongly encourage that you upload documents to us through our website where possible. We also have drop box locations at our Lititz and Wormleysburg office locations should you need to drop items off at our offices. We are suspending all in person meetings for the foreseeable future and we will contact you directly to reschedule through video conferencing or telephone options.
We are continuing to monitor federal and state legislation initiatives to help respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are anticipating that an extension of the tax filing deadline is likely and will keep you updated throughout as final legislation is passed. In the event that the deadline is not extended, we anticipate that we will need to extend more returns than in previous years and appreciate your cooperation through that process.
This situation continues to change rapidly and we will provide additional communication and updates throughout as circumstances change. Thank you for your understanding and confidence in Simon Lever through this time. We recognize the challenge this situation brings for each of you, and wish you health and safety as you navigate the challenges ahead.
Thank you,
Jason D. McDougall, CPA
