LANCASTER, PA – The partners of Simon Lever LLP announced Friday that they have finalized a deal to purchase the Benecon building at 147 West Airport Road in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Jason McDougall, managing partner of Simon Lever LLP, said plans to move into the new facility will begin immediately, with the business advisory and accounting firm expecting to take possession sometime in 2017.

Simon lever has seen tremendous growth in clients and employees over the last couple of years,” McDougall said. “This is more than a move for us; this is a transition into the future and has been part of our strategic plan. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 65th Anniversary.”

The new building nearly doubles the capacity of Simon Lever’s existing home at 444 Murry Hill Circle in Lancaster. The current building measures about 13,000 square feet, while the Benecon Building stands at 25,100 square feet.

“The move to Lititz will allow us to impact our clients and our community at a much higher level,” McDougall said. “It will help us become more efficient with our internal operations, increase our ability to recruit high quality employees, and meet our clients’ needs in new and exciting ways.”

Simon Lever is already recognized as one of the top 10 places to work in Pennsylvania, but McDougall said, “This move should continue to make us a leading destination for Pennsylvania’s top business talent.”

Over the past year, McDougall said, Simon Lever LLP has merged with the accounting firm of Pfister and Rompalo PC, giving them a new location in Wormleysburg, Pa. They also joined forces with tax specialist James R. Stauffer, making Simon Lever one of Central Pennsylvania’s preeminent authorities in sales and use tax.

Partner Jonathan Fry, who helped coordinate the purchase, said Simon Lever will lease the building back to Benecon until the move happens next year.

“The added space will allow us to better serve our community, exceed our clients’ expectations, and hire more staff down the road,” Fry said. “This is an exciting time for Simon Lever and a major step forward for the firm.”

Founded in 1951 as a general bookkeeping company, Simon Lever LLP has grown into one of Pennsylvania’s most reputable business advisory and public accounting firms.
