ORIENTATION

Your career development starts on day one as you are introduced to our formal orientation process. Our experienced staff members take pleasure in teaching and are devoted to providing you with the tools necessary to do your job well. You will learn our procedures, how to use our software, and then begin to apply what you learn to accounting, audit and tax engagements.

MENTORING PROGRAM

When you arrive we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. You will have a mentor assigned to you who’s responsibility is to assist you with getting acclimated to the Firm, including its policies and procedures. Your mentor will also help you with your work schedule, provide performance feedback, and offer guidance with goal setting and career development. Our hope is that your mentoring relationship will provide opportunities and support which positively influence your personal and professional development.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Our goal is to provide you with the educational opportunities which will allow you to continue to grow and advance within the Firm. You will be encouraged to attend internal and external seminars, conferences and workshops that will further develop you in your professional career. Also available to you will be self-study courses, professional readings, and paid memberships in pertinent organizations.

INTERNSHIPS

Simon Lever offers internships in both the audit and tax departments which are challenging and rewarding. These opportunities are an excellent way for you to learn not only about public accounting but also about our firm and its culture. A limited number of internships are available to college students majoring in accounting, business or finance.
